The Village of Franklin held a Recreation Commission meeting on March 10, 2025, at the Village Hall office (141 Water Street) at 6:09PM. Present: Mayor VanDeusen, Trustee Wilson, Clerk/Treasurer Niebanck, Deputy Clerk Martin, Field Sports Director Beadle and guests recorded on the sign-in register. The meeting was streamed and recorded on the video platform Zoom.
Fundraising efforts: Approximately $5000 has come in from fundraising letter.
Minutes: none to report (will submit at April meeting).
Treasurer’s Report: $39,416.60 – Wilson moved, and VanDeusen approved report. So passed.
Fundraising: Gertrude Hawk chocolates, NY made candles, Heidelburg bread are some of the ideas. John W. will send out the fund-raising letter; will include request for sponsors.
Field Sports Director Report: Posted flyer on Facebook for TBall; if someone can take over TBall, she can coach soccer (no volunteers yet); sign up for Tball in April at Village Hall. Open Gym has started and well attended.
Pool Director Report: 21st Century Pools contacted to have skimmer line checked. May/June is pool clean up time. Lifeguard applications are coming in.
